Insomnia with Hypnotherapy How To Improve Sleep

Insomnia tends to start as one or two bad nights, but can very soon develop into a regular habit of poor sleeping. If you think you won't be able to sleep, it's almost certain that you won't! Using my approach to hypnotherapy, I can help you to develop new expectations and make insomnia a thing of the past. Unlike the use of sleeping tablets, my approach is natural, non-invasive and safe. You can be free from the 'hangover' effect even the very latest sleeping tablets can cause, and free to rediscover the natural, restorative patterns of good sleep you were born to enjoy.

Good sleep is vital for our health, happiness and wellbeing. No longer is it just an annoying difficulty to live or put up with. New research evidence clearly shows the impact on health, and even life expectancy, that chronic lack of sleep or chronic poor sleep patterns can bring.

The danger of sleep deprivation can’t be stressed enough. Take sleep seriously!”

Russell Foster, Professor of Circadian Neuroscience at Oxford University

So how can I help? First of all, we explore the reasons why poor sleeping patterns may have developed for you, from past sleep experiences, life events, worries, stresses, poor thinking habits, to poor sleep habits.

Secondly, we work together to address every facet that has led to the development of your unique sleep problem or kept it going. A bit like taking down scaffolding, we take a few bits down, and the whole construction starts to collapse.

As a Specialist Insomnia and Sleep Hypnotherapist, I use an integrated approach combining modern clinical hypnotherapy with cognitive behavioural techniques, implementing good 'sleep hygiene', teaching you how to physically relax…. to helping you mentally relax with self-hypnosis, mindfulness techniques, and modern hypnotherapeutic ways of working, as best for you. I am a utilitarian therapist: we use what suits your unique personality and what works best for you. Soon you will learn to be a ‘falling asleep expert’. ..

Once you are experiencing the deep, restorative sleep you need you will find that the quality of your life improves tremendously. Anxiety, worry and pain are reduced. Your vitality, positivity and happiness increases. Relationships can be easier. Doing anything is easier! Depression lifts and your health can experience a tremendous boost. Life can feel worth living again.
