Sex and Intimacy

If you are having difficulties with your sex life, whether you are single or with a partner, it can lead to upset, anxiety, depression and even the breakdown of relationships. We are all inherently programmed to connect with others, and sex is the most intimate way in which we do this. When we feel that connection is broken, damaged or in danger, it can lead to feelings of frustration and isolation.

Sexual difficulties affect men and women, and the causes can be physical, psychological, or both, and can develop over time or may occur suddenly.

Please don't feel embarrassed to contact me about sexual difficulties. I am very experienced and everything we discuss is confidential. Often, just talking to a therapist about how you feel can help to relieve some of the symptoms.

Below is a list of some of the most common issues I work with:

  • Erectile Dysfunction

  • Vaginismus

  • Confidence in your own Sexuality

  • Penetration Anxiety

  • Pain with intercourse

  • Enhancing your Sex Life

  • Premature Ejaculation

  • Lack of desire

  • Sexual Fetishes

  • Anorgasmia (inability to orgasm)

  • Sexual Abuse

  • Genophobia (fear of sex)

  • Building Sexual Confidence

I specialise in Psychosexual Dysfunction, or 'Sex Therapy' and Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy, Counselling and Mind Coaching, all of which can have highly successful outcomes in the area of sexual issues. All of my therapy is client-centred, and each session will be tailored individually to your needs.

Client confidentiality is of paramount importance. Whatever you feel your issue to be, you will be able to discuss it in an open and relaxed environment, using language that you feel comfortable with.

In addition to client confidentiality, I operate a code of privacy, where if you feel that there is anything that you do not wish to discuss, that is absolutely fine. I always encourage my clients to be as honest as they can be, as that enables me to give you the best help I can, but it is also fine for you to say if there are things that you don't wish to discuss at any time.

Each situation is unique, and even though it's not possible to state that your issue will be 100% resolved, my experience in this field tells me that sexual issues do respond well to therapy. The journey you will embark upon will certainly educate you, which alone can be very empowering, and the therapeutic benefits vary from client to client and issue to issue.

I am however absolutely confident that I will treat you to the very best of my ability. I will be honest and open with you at all times, and provide you with emotional and confidential support during your therapeutic journey.
